Gabe... Great question! The environment, of course, as an effect on the "bottom line" and can move it in either direction. One has to consistently monitor and work hard to keep the office environment in BALANCE. The most difficult challenge is when one particular person does not "like" one of the other office members and makes it their misguided agenda to get everyone in the office to dislike them too.

I work in a small office in a small rural town. I'm the "young" person that came in and spread a little ray of sunshine and new energy into my office. My broker tries, but he's been there and done that. He's been in the business for over 37 years. I keep things hopping and the other people in my office guessing what I will come up on any given day.

Now that I read your question again, I guess I'm a bit off topic. Everyone in my office works well together to help each other out. My broker makes sure of that.

Hi Gabe  ---  It's a business, I hope they are focused on the bottom line but I do believe they understand the people side.  I hope so.   I work in a large office and quite frankliy I don't even know every agent anymore -- that's kinda sad but I also don't need the office for friends although there are many I am friendly with.

I am fortunate to be with a branch of our brokerage where the bottom line is not what everyone focuses on. There is some real mutual support.

Gabe,

We have worked with several brokers.  In each instance they understood the importance of a harmonious environment for all the agents.  Harmony creates good will and is a perfect atmosphere for success in business.  A
