lol... I had someone take a smoke break in the backyard of a house I was showing.  Then they had the nerve to through the cig in the pool after they were done. And guess what I had to do for the next ten minutes? First, tell them I would meet them at the next property. Then fish out a cig with a palm branch, in which was all on the owners video surveillance camera. The listing agent at least thanked me for cleaning up my clients mess! To top off the wonderful agent duties, of many, my buyers asked what took me so long to get to the next property. I just smiled and told them I had something that held me up. Who doesn't love their cash buyers?

I don't drive buyers around, they drive themselves. My job is to get them the best deal, so...smoke away, in your own car.

I actually had a person light up an e-cigarette the other day that smelled like peaches. She asked after she blew the first billow of steam into the front seat. Then she said would you prefer mesquite, it smells like BBQ... (Weird)

Thankfully this has never come up when I was driving, because I have a difficult time with smoky clothes and belongings in my car.  Other than that factor, if there is time, I'm okay with it. If I am driving and they ask, I don't have a poker face, so my guess is, they would not pursue the question.  LOL

Nope, then they smell like cigarettes when they get back into my car. Yuk. If they insist, they only get a couple of drags in before we are off, OR they can drive their own car.

Sure, I'm not without mercy. I've recently had the smoker drive seperately in his own car while the wife, baby & I drove a different car. It doesn't bother me as I used to be a smoker myself.

NEVER any smoking in a listing.

Smokers are always welcome to drive themselves.  I can only think of one time where I was forced to have that conversation.  The Guest of a Buyer riding in my vehicle asked me if I mind if they smoke?  I simply told them lovingly I'm not a smoker, and as a kid I risked getting slapped down by my parents for harassing them about smoking around me.  I gave them such a hard time about it, I guilt-ed them into quitting.  Next I asked the guest would you like for me to go all the way there, talking about life's first prize is great health?  The Guest never lit up a cigarette around me.

They usually take their own cars. I was a smoker so I can understand the addiction. Problem is even after 30 years, at times I want one. I just don't need one. I never allow them to smoke on the property at all even if the sellers are smokers. They can smash the butts out in their car.

I'm not an agent, but I would have to think you would have to accommodate your clients.  Not allowing them to smoke in homes and in your car is pretty reasonable, so I would assume a break would have to be made time for!

I haven't had many smokers, but the ones I have had seem to fit in a smoke break.  They are polite about it and usually it's in between houses and my car.  If they don't actually smoke in the car, it's not a smell that lingers after they leave your car at the end of the day.

Most smokers know they need to drive their own car.

The real challenge to me would be if they were in my car and pulled out one with a blue tip.

I don't know what I would do.

I havent had to deal with anyone ready to escape the car for one. I think the only smoker i had in recent memory would go hide behind a tree to smoke at every home we got to.

It is so rare I have a smoking client that I don't really remember what I do. Typically, they will have a quick smoke outside once we've left a home.
