ANY task not requiring a license as defined by the state or local REALTOR organization.
The major issue is mission creep. When you hire someone they tend to take comfort in knowing what they were hired to do, It will prove important to have a defined role and procedure written so if this one gets happy feet, you will not need to reinvent the wheel with the replacement.
Of importance is understanding what can be done virtually and what requires boots on the ground.

Except showing, open house or negotiating, they can do almost everything to do with coordination of the transaction. Paperwork, scheduling, delivery of checks (more like runners), radon pick up etc.

We have an unlicensed office assistant. She does mailing lists and puts our disclosures into the associated docs part of our MLS. She also sets up showing and does some marketing materials for us. She also sets up our weekly newspaper advertisement.

They do busy work, like filing, and newsletters and post cards. It sure helps!

Thanks for your answers. An umlicensed person is certainly more affordable than someone licensed in my area.

I have a licensed Admin for contract to close now which has made all the difference in the world. Thinking about exploring Fiverr for tasks I can delegate. Debbie have you explored that option?

In Georgia, an unlicensed assistant may only perform ministerial acts with regards to clients, cistomersw and transactions. These are acts that do not require expertise or discretion.
As far as marketing, it's anything goes and I think that handling all social media marketing is an excellent task for an unlicensed assisant.

I am thinking of hiring an assistant. I spend far too much time thinking about how perfect I need things to be. An assistant could take the emotion out of that. Marketing myself is harder than having someone market me.

Does she work for the entire group of agents and take direction from all of you, Debbie Laity?
