Why would BUYER install AC Cage Prior to closing? Does VA require AC Unit to be connected prior to funding loan?

We were just asked to kind of rush the #ACCages request for the "inspection". Not sure if it was a final walk through or VA Appraisal so I can't say. The job is done but left me wondering if the urgency was relative to financing.

I remembered that FHA had some requirements regarding Refrigerators and if there was a hole for a dishwasher a dishwasher was required to be there. I too hope a lender responds. Just satisfying my own curiosity and who better to ask than the professionals!

Hi Janice,

I have not ran across this unless its a new condition with VA. I have closed a lot of VA home purchases/sales and never had this as a condition. Was it a suggestion by the home inspector? Hoping one of Active Rains Lender experts chimes in on this question..
