Noah, that's a personal time - so I will not even keep the phone near me.

It's not going to happen, Noah, since I probably wouldn't answer the phone.
If for some reason they did get through to me, I will tell them that I will get the answers for them tomorrow when the workday begins.

Not being a football fan, there would be no question for me about taking a call for a client, or even starting in on a rush job.
Now if you were talking about Christmas or Thanksgiving, when I have family here, I might not answer the phone.

Hit the DVR button and grab my coat and out the door. I am still re-cooping from the slow times and not able to just say call someone else.

Unless the Carolina Panthers or NY Giants are playing, I don't care who takes me away from the game. Plus, my husband is a soccer fanatic, so no worries there.

There will be no showings come 6pm in New England, at least not for me. I have a full day packed in all before noon and then thats it.

Since I'm really not into sport and don't even have a tv service, I would be the agent who is ready/able/willing to work:)

Depends how good the game is : ) On a serious note, I've informed several people that I'll be readily available tomorrow. They may hear a loud TV and some cheers in the background, but I'll be happy to take calls and help people that need my services or want to move forward with a rate lock tomorrow. My business is way more important than the game.

I think as long as my husband has food and beer readily available, I'd be free to take care of business.

It doesn't really matter what the occasion is. If you've already planned on spending the event with family and friends or just watch it as your special treat, let them know that you've already committed the afternoon, but you'll help them first thing Monday.

I truly am not invested in the outome of the game since the Broncos are not playing and would take the call.

With DVR it really isn't a big deal anymore. I will gladly pause and take care of a call or take a potty break and then catch up a little later. Of course I want to see all the commercials so DVR is a must.

Noah,
That is a judgment call. What could be so important that it cannot wait? A

It depends what the client wanted and why it had to be done at that moment. It's not that I'm a big football fan, but I have been invited to a get together with friends and I would be rude to them if I left. I feel the same about Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Easter Sunday and maybe a few other days when friends and family usually gather. People should have a life and one's clients should respect that.! But if they are doing their taxes, for example, and need some information that only I have, no problem, I'll find it for them. I would want them to CALL me, no problem, so we can talk about their need.

It would really depend on what the client wanted as to whether or not, I would give up watching the game. I understand clients need things, but the game is on Sunday and in the evening. At some point, clients have to respect that we have a life, too. I wouldn't lie about what I was doing. I'm human and I love football.

I'd absolutely serve the client, I'm more interested in the commercials and can view them later. Business to me is more important than the Superbowl game.
