Get to Know David Smith

David Smith began investing in real estate in 2004, while working at Ford Credit.  He continued to buy and sell Real Estate during this time. In 2004, he left the car business to become a mortgage broker, which he still does today. He is a member of 3 Real Estate Associations where he attends meetings and seminars that have educated him about Foreclosures, Lease Options, Short Sales, and more.  Additionally, he has taken classes at Mortgage University, attended a 6 week Foreclosure Course taught by an attorney, and attended numerous "Boot Camps".

More recently, he has started 2 new businesses. The first one was called Home Options Made Easy (the HOME Co. for short) which was formed to purchase investment property. The second business, called U-Move-On  www.umoveon.com , was formed in 2008 to help people in foreclosure. Dave pointed out: "The mortgage business faced a huge decline starting in August, 2007, when the "Mortgage Meltdown" started. Here in Michigan, we have one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation. As a result, we also have one of the highest foreclosure rates and also one of the worst real estate markets due to declining values."

U-Move-On wants to help people find the best solution to their foreclosure problem. It is important that business be done in an ethical manner and that the client receives as much value as possible while keeping the cost of the program low. Dave says that he loves his new job because it allows him to use the many skills he has learned during his career and also help people in foreclosure "Move On" with their lives in the best possible way.
