A new approach to real estate in Athens, Atlas Real Estate Advisors was formed by two of the top-producing Athens Realtors, Matt Thomas and Chris Blackmon. Each principal brings a wealth of knowledge to both residential and commercial real estate in Athens, Georgia area with extensive experience in the Athens investment property market as well.

Matt graduated from the University of Georgia in 2000 and immediately delved into the real estate arena, first in Atlanta and then in Athens and the northeast Georgia area. In 2003 and 2004, he was inducted into the President's Circle, a designation for the top 10% of Coldwell Banker agents worldwide. In 2004, 'The Thomas Team' was named 'Athens Best Realtor' by the Athens Banner-Herald's Readers Choice Awards, and in 2005 and 2006, Thomas received the President's Elite designation marking sales in the top 3% of Coldwell Banker agents worldwide.

In 2007, Matt opened Atlas Real Estate Advisors, an independent specialty firm, along with his commercial business partner Chris Blackmon.  Against a down market, Atlas has enjoyed tremendous success, and has quickly established itself as one of the premier firms in the Athens, GA area.
