After running a business for over 20 years, I plunged into real estate head first. Though some think of it as a glamorous career, it is anything but that. It involves getting to know people, listening to their wants and needs, doing your absolute best to help them realize their dreams. I just love the look on a seller's or buyer's face at the closing table. It says "this is exactly what I wanted, although I had to compromise a bit".
I love working with first time home buyers. They need guidance in the whole process, everything from getting pre-qualfied for a mortgage, accepting their financial limitations, explaining the procedures, inspections, contingencies. All this comes into play as the events unfold.
Sellers need advice as how to get their properties ready to go on the market. They have to get the property in such condition that when a buyer walks in, he/she would be in owe. The first impression is extremely important. The second most important item in listing a property is pricing it according to the market conditions. We all do think that our homes are worth a fortune but we have to be realistic.
