Get to Know Tom Shalles
I have been licensed in Washington for more than three years. At North Seattle Community College, one of the three Washington colleges that teaches real estate to a degree level, I earned an Associates Degree in Real Estate. I also have six Certificates from NSCC in other real estate programs. Prior to being a realty agent in Washington, I worked in a family business of property management in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Property Management is not the same as real estate sales, of course, but it provided a lot of experience that has prepared me for real estate sales. Many agents follow the traditional method of reporting to a brick-n-mortar office. With high-speed internet and cell phones, however, a home office provides most of the professional services required by real estate agents in the Seattle area. I supplement my high-speed cable internet with mobile office capability; I have added a heavy-duty laptop with high-speed air card access, which provides internet service while I am on the run. I also carry a multi-function printer in my car.
