Andre de Villiers was born in the Cape Town seaside resort town of Fish Hoek on the False Bay coast.   

Andre's paternal European roots are from France (La Rochelle) over 300 years ago but his maternal family are more recently from the South West of Ireland.  

Andre is passionate about his Irish roots and visits Ireland at least once a year, usually in June/July, staying in the charming historic seaside village of Dalkey in Co. Dublin.  Andre shares his travel passion with Brazil.  See www.AndreDeVilliers.co.za

For the last 20 plus years Andre has been actively engaged in the residential real estate industry in Cape Town and owns three Chas Everitt International franchises with his strongest area being Constantia and Fish Hoek.

Work Experience

Prior to 1994:After selling property for a year for a large national group, Andre accepted an offer from South Africa's oldest estate agency, Steer Property Organisation (established in 1879) to manage their City office.  A year later Andre was offered and accepted a Directorship with the Steer Property Organisation and served as Regional Sales Director and Marketing Director Instrumental in the group joining the international franchise group, ERA (Electronic Realty Associates) and restructured the property group under the name ERA Steer) 1995 - As then Managing Director - the offices were franchised and the holding company was sold to a JSE listed company. 1996 - 2001  Andre together with a partner bought two of the main ERA Steer offices in the Cape Peninsula - one in Constantiaberg and one in the Southern Suburbs. These are the most significant performers in the Cape Region and two of the top performing offices in the national office network) In May 2003 Andre was instrumental in launching the CHAS EVERITT International Property Group in Cape Town and converted his two ERA Steer franchises to this new identity and started a franchise operation in False Bay in 2004. (Property website http://www.cei.co.za/ ) In June 2005 Andre and his partner bought a commercial property in the heart of Claremont as the new head office for their Southern Suburbs office, still maintaining the Tokai office and the False Bay office. February 2008 Andre launched CEI Overseas Properties www.OverseasProperties.co.za aimed at selling international property investments to South Africans In May 2008 Andre bought out his partner's interests in the business and is now sole owner.  In February 2009 Andre was appointed National Marketing Manager for Chas Everitt International 2009 will see the development of a new head office in Tokai Andre has bought as farm in Brazil which he plans to develop into a lodge and trout farm in the next few years
