Robert Wydell Robinson has over 20 years experience in the insurance, real estate, property management, and construction industries. Originally, from Richmond Virginia, Robert moved to New York with his mother Aretha Person (Wright) and older brother in the 1950s. A single mother, Aretha taught her sons the importance of knowledge-based decision making based on careful observation, thorough evaluation, relevant comparison, and clear standards.
Robert, a graduate of North Yarmouth Academy in Maine, earned a technology degree from Columbia Community College. He is involved in the community and has received many awards for his achievements in the areas of criminal justice and local outreach programs. He serves on various committees including the Mid-Hudson Valley Executives and the Board of Directors of Dutchess County Outreach. He founded and now directs the organization Men Helping Men, which produces its own cable television show on Time Warner Cable. Robert has written four books on the topics of modern day parenting and book of poems. In Robert’s free time, which is increasingly rare, he enjoys sailing, jazz, fine art, and reading.
