Get to Know Roy Vandoorn
Roy Vandoorn, a Maui resident since May 2003, joined the Century 21 All Island Team in January 2008 after a long and very successful career with Hewlett-Packard. At HP, Roy spent the last 15 years marketing HP business computers and storage products to the world's largest and most demanding companies. After a change in management, Roy had the opportunity to do something new. Instead of joining another high tech firm, Roy wanted to find an endeavor that he could really feel passionate about and stay on Maui a place that he and his wife both love dearly. Even though real estate may be a new profession, Roy is not new to the real estate business. Roy purchased his first house in 1986 and since then has purchased and sold both personal and investment properties, including timeshare, vacant lots, condos and single family homes, in four different states, including Hawaii. In addition to real estate, Roy's passions are his family, teaching, ballroom dancing, green living/protecting the environment and scuba diving. Roy has taught mathematics at San Jose State University, first aid and CPR classes for the American Red Cross, was a certified Scuba instructor and has tutored a number of elementary and high school students in math. Roy holds a Masters Degree in Mathematics from San Jose State University.
