HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) and Real Estate
BCREA has created a website with the information you need to be informed at http://www.bcrea.bc.ca/hst/hstaction.htm. The site contains information about the tax (including an FAQ and links to media coverage) and enables REALTORS® and the public to send a protest letter to their local MLA, the Premier, the Finance Minister and Leader of the Opposition. BCREA has sent four recommendations to the Provincial Government to help mitigate the costs of HST on home buying.
