During the late 1980's and early 1990's my husband and I bought the crappy homes that no one else wanted, fixed them up and either rented or resold them. We were small scale, doing one home at a time and actually had to live in them while we worked on them! We used several Real Estate companies during that time and I was never satisfied enough to use the same company or agent twice.

 In 1996 I finally saw the light and became a Realtor. Other than having my kids it is the best thing I have ever done! My prior dealings in real estate really helped give me insight into what clients, whether they be buyers or sellers, want and should expect in an agent. I actually made a list of what I liked and disliked, about agents I had worked with and even added my general pet peeves giving me a basis to start my list of what kind of Realtor I was going to be. Now with over a decade under my belt as a Realtor, I have tweeked the list a bit, but the basics still remain the same:
