Founded by Ed and Norma Koenig and Tom Strey in 1961, Koenig & Strey Real Estate soon began a pattern of growth and industry leadership that continues to this day. Our guiding principle has remained the same: to provide the best possible service to our clients in anatmosphere of integrity and professionalism.

Joining GMAC Home Services in 1999 enabled us to offer a combination of local expertiseand national resources that has helped us grow into one of the most successful real estate companies in the greater Chicago area.

We are also known as a firm which seeks out and develops new programs that benefit ourclients. Koenig & Strey GMAC was among the first real estate firms to establish a strong internet presence, offering in-depth information online 24 hours a day. We were leaders in establishing buyer's broker programs in Illinois. We also pioneered the concept of comprehensive service, offering our clients complete mortgage banking and title services as well as insurance and relocation services.

Our professional in-house marketing department is known for the variety and scope of its services from print and online advertising, public relations, and specialized marketing programs for luxury properties and developments.
