I've been an agent from 2006-2010 in the Cleveland area. In 2010, I earned an associate's degree from Lorain County Community College in business management. I took some time off from the business to go to a four yearcollege and I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education the College of Charleston and got back into the business in August of 2015. While I decided not to pursue teacher education as a career, my experiences in college are what gave me the motivation to get back into real estate.
The one charateristic that seems to be lacking from a lot of real estate professionals today is honesty. Many sales workers will tell people only what they want to hear in order to get their business, and many real estate agents tell sellers what they want to hear in order to get their listing, making it difficult for the honest agents in the industry to develop a good reputation. I am up front and honest with sellers if I think what they want or need to get for their house is not likely going to happen. I believe that telling people the facts and how it is even if it isn't what they want to hear is much better than misleading people which will always backfire later.
Having graduated from a math teacher program, I offer all my clients two free hours of math tutoring for their family members, friends or children in K-8 math as well as high school or college Algebra. I challenge anyone to find another real estate agent that offers that service.
Outside of business, I love to volunteer with youth and perform in community theatre. I volunteer as a counselor for summer camp 1-2 weeks per year every summer.
