Get to Know Derrik Carlson
I grew up in a small mountain town south of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, which is where my appreciation for mountain communities, outdoor living, and small-market real estate really began.
Before becoming a full-time Realtor in Park City, my career was in finance, mortgage banking, and investment property. I hold degrees in finance and business management, and I worked with homeowners and investors across multiple states, owned and managed my own rental properties, and helped operate a large development project outside the U.S. That background still shapes how I advise clients today, with a strong focus on pricing, risk, and long-term value.
I joined Keller Williams Park City in 2012 and have spent my entire real estate career focused on Park City real estate, Deer Valley second homes, and the surrounding resort markets. Today, I lead the Derrik & Co. team, working with buyers and sellers in luxury homes, ski-in/ski-out properties, golf communities, and high-end condominiums throughout Park City and Heber Valley.
During my time with Keller Williams, I was ranked among the top individual agents globally, including a #35 ranking out of more than 200,000 agents.

| It started when I did a google search for Park City Utah properties, saw a house I liked and it was an ad listed by Derrik. He contacted me by email, I told him what I was looking for and that I'd be in Park City 6 months from then to look at properties. During that six months he sent me a number of houses that fit my criteria and when we arrived we met him, liked him immediately and started looking at houses. It took us three more trips to find the perfect house, but find the perfect house we did! Derrik is friendly, patent, funny and knows Park City real estate. It was a fun, easy, delightful experience. | We recently used Derrik Carlson to sell our home that we have lived in for the last couple years. Derrik helped us purchase this home in 2013 and we were thrilled with it these last two years. | It was truly a pleasure to do business with Derrik. We first listed out home to sell with another agent an had a terrible experience, which did not result in a sale. After meeting Derrik we re-listed our home for sale. From the beginning, it was very clear Derrik was committed to selling our property. | When we first met with Derrik he asked us what we expected from him as our real estate agent. We told him that we valued responsiveness and honesty, and we told him what our wants and needs were for a vacation home. Derrik always responded to our phone calls, e-mails and text messages within 24 hours. Late one evening around midnight, we scanned and e-mailed some documents to him that were not time-sensitive, but he immediately sent us an e-mail stating that he had received the documents. Unlike many real estate agents, Derrik did not try to sell us a home that was out of our price range. Instead, he steered us towards properties that met our desires for a vacation home. | We found Derrik through his website and he was the only realtor who followed up after seeing we were interested in a home in the area. When we arrived in Utah Derrik took evening after evening getting us acquainted with the area.
