My area of expertise is listing residential properties for sale.  When I list a home, my sellers know that I am with the most well-known real estate company out there, REMAX, and that their property is going to receive major attention with our brand name attached.  Also, I offer my sellers different marketing packages to choose from that suit their budget.  When I meet a potential seller for the first time, I tour the home, noting areas that need staging, cleaning, painting, and/or decluttering.  Then I sit down with them and discuss these areas and how they will affect the list price of the home.  Next, I outline how I do business, the marketing packages I offer, and how I will get their home sold.  Then, I show them the market analysis of houses in their area that have sold recently, and we discuss a price at which to list the house.  A service I offer to all my sellers is a list of vendors from which to choose in case they need a roofer, handyman, etc...  

My second area of expertise is working with 1st time home buyers.  Buying a home for the first time is a scary and confusing process unless you have a realtor who can answer your questions, explain the process step by step, and reassure you as needed.  I don't just show homes; I provide my buyers with information on the areas in which they are interested: school districts, local businesses, transportation, etc...  I provide my buyers with the information and tools they need BEFORE they begin to look at homes.  I also provide my buyers with a list of service providers to choose from so that they can obtain financing, find an inspector, get home insurance, etc...  I also love working with repeat home buyers, and I provide the same service. 

 I have some letters behind my name, and people frequently ask me what the alphabet stands for.  The first is ABR, which stands for Accredited Buyers Representative.  The Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council describes the ABR designation as the " benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation is awarded to real estate practitioners by the Real Estate BUYER'S AGENT Council (REBAC) of the National Association of REALTORS® who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria.  

Next is CDPE which stands for Certified Distressed Property Expert.  Real estate professionals with the Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) Designation have trained extensively to understand the options, solutions, and effective methods for dealing with homeowners facing hardships.   After that is GREEN, which means I'm certified by the National Association of REALTORS® to successfully seek out, understand, and market properties with green features. 

 The letters M.Ed. after my name stand for Master of Education, which I earned in December 2004 from Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, TX.  Why do I include this if I'm a REALTOR?  My training as a teacher helps me tremendously as a real estate agent when I'm explaining processes to clients or negotiating terms with a fellow agent.  Being a good teacher is not a simple matter of standing in front of a classroom and presenting the material.  One must be able to engage the audience and keep them engaged while teaching them the material.  From the feedback I've had throughout the years as a teacher, I was a good teacher.  As a REALTOR, I try to bring over the skills I used in teaching to help my clients.  

 I am a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Austin Board of Realtors, and the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
