I am lifelong resident of East Providence, and my wife Darlene (whom is originally from Smithfield, RI) and I reside in the city's Riverside section, near the Narragansett Bay. I have been a licensed Realtor in Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts for almost a decade, I was a city planner for a few years prior to my career in real estate.

If you ask me, RI has so much to offer for such a small place, that it makes it the perfect place to raise a family. We have nice homes, quiet streets, great schools, friendly neighbors, and a strong sense of history and community throughout the state, and everything is 20 minutes away, so naturally that makes it such a fantastic place to live! I mean what more could someone ask for? It's without-a-doubt the American Dream, and as a Realtor, this is something I cherish; something I wish for everyone I know. This is why I got into selling real estate in the first place, so I could help make that dream come true for whomever I can.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Geography/Urban Planning & Environmental Science from Rhode Island College.  For my thesis I spent my final undergrad semester abroad studying European City Planning and Policy at the University of London, South Bank, in 1997. In 1998 I began studying in the Master's of Community Planning program at the University of Rhode Island's Facility for Community Planning and Area Development.  The following year I choose to forgo grad school and took on my first professional Town Planner's position with the Town of Westport, MA.  My stay in Westport was short though, as I was hired by the Town of Lincoln, RI to be their Planning Director later that year.After a few years of working in city planning I decided to leave the government/public sector altogether. Working for the public was a rare opportunity, but my feelings about working in politics began to change.  It was around that time I was presented with an opportunity to start a new career in real estate.  I figured why not?  As a planner, I had always dealt with endless issues that either involve or affect people's real estate, and after years of studying this state's geography, real estate was the perfect fit...and having the "municipal background" has proven to be a great asset to my career as a Realtor, and even more so for my clients.

Near the end of 2001 I began working with Prudential CD Puleo Realty in Providence.  Claire and Steve Puleo, the broker/owners, used their almost 70 yrs of combined experience to help mentor me with the industry.  I worked there for 6.5 years, earning several multi-million dollar sales awards, and the Prudential Rookie of the Year Award for 2002.   When the market crashed around the end of 2006,  I needed a fresh start, so I went onto Keller Williams Realty of RI.  Then in late 2007 I heard about a new company emerging in RI that intrigued me beyond belief, EXIT.  Not too long after, I became the newest member of one of Rhode Island's fastest growing real estate companies, EXIT Realty Firm in Providence, RI.

I always strive to give my all and 1000% to everything I do, and this means keeping up with the changes in my industry is essential. This is why I continually take real estate courses and work towards attaining the highest accreditations possible. So far, I am a Graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI), a lengthy 90-hour program that certifies my abilities in handling all aspects of real estate, sort of like a master's degree for Realtors. I have also completed the Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR), which has helped hone my skills as a Buyer's Agent; and the Seller's Representative Specialist (SRS) program, which has helped to further sharpen my skills as a Listing Agent.I take great pride in my skills as a negotiator, and even greater pride in my ability to bring people together for positive results. However, I can't think of anything I take more pride in than when a client, friend, or family member refers someone new to me for my services. It is a great feeling knowing that you've helped someone through a major hurdle in life, and if they need me again down the line in life, they always call me back. Friendships are very important to me, and I feel that most of my relationships with clients are best handled in a "friendly way". In closing, I want to relay my most important message about me.
