|location_on Baton Rouge, LA — Pendulum Home Inspections|
|web Carlton Jones's (pendulum) Blog|
I am 59 years old, and have been part owner of some very successful businesses over the years. I sold my interest in a technology company four years ago, and have devoted myself full time to Home Inspections and home renovations. I firmly believe in giving thorough, honest, and "non-alarmist" inspections. What I mean by that is that you realize there is no perfect home. Yet, as a buyer, you want to know every issue with the home, and what you can expect to need repair. So, I explain to folks that all homes have some issues, and my job is to give a thorough inspection with realistic expectations of items that need addressing. Some will be minor maintenance issues, and others may be more involved. I believe most every issue has a solution, and I point out all the issues, with no overreaction, and give sound, honest advice on the condition the home, and possible solutions to issues. I look at every home as if my money was going to buy the home.
I am trained and certified, and worked with one of the most respected Home Inspectors in our area, so I feel that I learned from the best. I have worked with construction related companies for over 15 years, one of them being a Louisiana General Contractor, of which I was a vice president. I have renovated several homes, and have been active in construction and repair for most of my life. I am very active, and stay up on the latest developments in building construction. We utilize the latest technology in our inspection tool selection, and are now using FLIR infrared imaging cameras to help us locate potential issues that can be missed.
