Trabaccone | Olsen Advisors. Joe Trabaccone, Darrick Olsen and Marilyn Trabaccone have over 50 years of combined real estate experience.
Joe Trabaccone was born in Philadelphia and attended Miami Dade Junior College in Miami where he was a member of the 1969 national Junior College gymnastic team. Following that, he earned a BS degree from Southern Connecticut University in New Haven, where he was a member of the 1972 national gymnastic team. After moving back to Philadelphia, he studied real estate investment and appraisal at Temple University Real Estate Institute.
Joe's fascination with all things real estate, especially renovation and historic preservation, led him out of a budding career as a high school teacher in 1975. He went on to become a partner in Landmark Investment Group. After a successful career in restoring and investing in old buildings and selling the finished product, he and his wife Marilyndecided to trade their big city existence for the lifestyle they had long dreamed of. In 1997 they packed up the moving truck and, accompanied by their golden retriever Rudy and Shih Tzu Oliver, headed west. Their love of skiing, golf, and wide open spaces led them to Park City, UT – some research skill was involved and much luck. Joe has built and sold many homes in those communities and particularly enjoys working with builders and marketing high end single family homes.
Darris Olsen is a second generation local and a graduate of Park City High School. He is a graduate of the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Following college graduation, he pursued post graduate studies in London. These studies included an internship with Sotheby’s in London followed by participation and consulting in the art business. As a past board member of the Kimball Art Center and activities with Utah art societies and the University of Utah Museum of Fine Arts, he enjoys sharing his interest in the arts with many of his clients.
Darrick and his wife Vanette have four sons – high school age to post college (medical school). With family participation in football, basketball, lacrosse, rugby, golf, fencing and skiing and 18 years of volunteer coaching experience at all levels, Darrick knows the local opportunities available for youth sports. Many other community, school and recreational activities have given he and his wife broad experience and connections to the volunteer network that does so much for our community’s quality of life. This has been a major benefit for his clients who are new arrivals to Park City, especially those with active children.
After being a partner in Scandia Construction with his brother Tom, Darrick began his real estate career in 1997. He has enjoyed great success in helping clients in farm and ranch properties, developers with entitlements, water problems, and planning for major projects and as a project listing agent. His focus for the past several years has been golf/ski communities
Darrick notes, "Our services are based on in-depth product knowledge and the ability to impartially compare the strengths and weaknesses of competing communities. Our goal is to always pursue the best fit for buyers. Sellers can benefit from our unique marketing program that puts their property in the best possible light and achieves maximum exposure."

Marilyn Trabaccone is originally from South Jersey. Marilyn was trained as a paralegal in 1985. and worked for several years as an assistant to an attorney, who specialized in real estate and later in a large regional bank. It was during this time that she trained in the implementation and use of computer technology systems to facilitate streamlined and efficient transaction management. Her information management and computer technology skills expanded along with her real estate experience. After graduating from Temple Real Estate Institute in 1990, Marilyn pursued a career in residential real estate.
In 1997, Marilyn and her husband Joe made their adventure West. Upon settling in Park City, she initially went to work for a national bank as a Commercial Real Estate Closing Administrator. Marilyn was subsequently recruited by the real estate division at the Canyons resort, where her people skills, experience in office management and database administration helped facilitate the successful launch of The Sundial Lodge.
Following the successful launch of the Sundial Lodge, Marilyn became the office manager and contracts administrator for a leading independent real estate company in Park City. Following the Winter Olympics in 2002, she reestablished herself as a residential real estate professional. She has found great enjoyment working with both buyers and sellers, helping to make their real estate experience/transactions uncomplicated and stress free. Still on the cutting edge of technology, Marilyn, with Engel and Völker's Trabaccone Olsen Advisors, helps clientele select and purchase their dream home, as simply as possible.
When Marilyn is not on her computer GPS tracking Joe's errant golf balls, car keys and cell phone; she is either reading the latest novels, playing tennis or enjoying Park City's vast trail system with her two Golden Retrievers Jasper and Kona.
