Let me introduce myself. I am a 52 year old professional who moved to the bay area about 18 months ago. I had purchased homes previously in West Hartford, CT and Spokane, WA. As you can imagine, moving to the Bay Area produced a kind of "sticker shock" when I contemplated buying a home.

I had made my mind up to continue to rent a home in the area, thinking that I would not find anything I liked in my price range. I had met Paul Di Leo socially, and he was certain that he could help me find a new home. After a lot of skepticism, he convinced me to spend a Saturday afternoon with him looking at some homes in the area. I decided it would be worth while, if only to confirm my previous concerns.

Paul had some idea of what I was looking for. He used the first couple of houses we visited as a way of refining his impression of what I was looking for. I had seen a home in my area that looked outwardly to fit my needs. Paul had also seen this house and was able to tell me what he thought were the problems with the property, and also knew that we could find other similar homes which represented a better value.

The third home we visited on that Saturday was in this category. Paul had already seen it and told me some of the things that he liked about it. We toured the home together and he helped me see behind the “staging” and surface of the home into the structure. Both it’s attractive points and its problems were discussed. I had to agree after that visit that it represented everything I liked about the first home, with about twice the square footage, and none of the liabilities.

I went again, alone, during an open house on the next day. This time, the selling realtor took me through, pointing out the same features that we had seen the day before. Because Paul had briefed me, I was able to ask more pointed questions and get a closer view of some of the issues raised by the property. I also had a chance to look at the disclosures made by the seller, which helped me to understand the significance of some of Paul’s observations.

Out of the blue, Paul called me one night after work and said I needed to see the house in the evening. I went, thinking it wouldn’t be that different, but of course it was. And the experience that evening really sealed the deal in my mind. I had decided to buy the house.

Paul handled all the paperwork that comes with an offer. He also helped me to understand the kind of competition that might be involved, and gave me a good idea of what my offer should be. We arrived at a consensus and the offer was accepted.

So, Now I am living in my new home. As my furniture went in to the house, it seemed like it truly belonged there. I have never been more satisfied with a home purchase. And I have Paul to thank for it (plus a good credit rating, a substantial down payment, and a lot of Maalox). I would encourage anyone looking for a home in the Bay Area to rely on Paul’s expertise. I am sure you will come away with the same feeling of satisfaction that I have.

"IF YOU NEED TO SELL YOUR HOME, YOU NEED Paul Di Leo "We can't say enough about the talents and skills of Realtor and designer Paul Di Leo. In February, we needed to sell our Montclair home, while living overseas. We needed help quickly, and Paul saved the day. Working with us by phone, fax, and email, Paul remodeled our home beautifully, marketed our home masterfully and closed the deal quickly. We received a dozen offers on our home and a much higher than listed selling price. Working with Paul is a pleasure. He holds your hand every step of the journey. He is kind, dedicated, honest, reliable, creative, and patient. He is extremely knowledgeable about the real estate market and how it works. His standards are exceptionally high and he surrounds himself with co-workers and industry professionals of that caliber. Paul is a bright, compassionate person who understands the challenging and difficult task of selling a home. He knows exactly what to do to make the sale happen and to help sellers relax along the way. It has truly been a blessing for us to have you "appear" in our lives and take care of us and the sale of our home so well. We are most grateful. Thank you, Paul, for helping us."

"Paul Di Leo sold our home for us during the peak of the spring housing season. We me him at an open house in our neighborhood and instantly felt that he would be the best person to work with and sell our house. Paul was very open with suggestions that he felt would improve the selling capabilities of our property. Once we established that he would be our Realtor, we set up a timeline and checked in regularly to keep ourselves on track. We didn't ever have to deal with any "last minute" changes or issues. Paul regularly kept us informed of all our deadlines and he was able to be present for all the inspections that we had to go through. Our open house was a breeze. The entire process flowed as he had predicted; we were able to sell our house in an extremely short period of time for more than we hoped for. I would recommend Paul's services, experience and expertise to anyone. In addition to being a very friendly and honest person, he also naturally became our "housing therapist" when we needed him to be."
