Matthew has a business degree from Furman University. After graduating from Furman, he became a business consultant in the utility industry. Matthew's consulting background helps him take that consultative approach and tailor each customer's mortgage to their specific needs. After four years of consulting, Matthew went into a family owned business in the wholesale automotive industry. In this role, Matthew took a parts warehouse that was on the verge of shutting down entirely, built a solid core group of clients and in two years, was able to help negotiate the sale of the entire business and inventory. Combining the data intensive utility consulting with the sales aspects used in the wholesale market, Matthew found mortgage to be a perfect fit for his background. In early 2006 Matthew joined Countrywide Home Loans. By the fourth quarter of 2007, Matthew became the highest producer for his branch and has been a top producer ever since.
