I grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas where my family still lives.  In 1985, while attending The University of Arkansas-Little Rock, I worked part-time at Wal-Mart where I met, and sold a clock to, the man I was meant to marry.  After I graduated college, I moved away from home to work in my field and married Kevin that same year.  After two years of working in public schools while my husband traveled with his work, we decided to sell it all and travel together.  For 6 years we lived in a 34 foot 5th wheel pulled by a big Ford pick-up.  We traveled all over the eastern half of the United States, Canada, Mexico and Hawaii.  We decided to settle in southeast Texas where our first child, Wyatt, was born.  16 months later, our daughter Holly was born.  One year later, Kevin was transferred to the Huntsville area to manage the local Terminix office.  That was 1995 and we've been here ever since.  

After being fortunate enough to stay at home with my babies, I slowly started back into my field by interpreting in church, then public schools, then in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for two different vendors.  I still work as an interpreter for the deaf and will keep my certification active.  I decided to get my real estate salesperson license two years ago and have been licensed for almost two years.   We at Palmer Real Estate have over 40 years experience collectively in real estate so I feel very proud to be a part of this team.  We have also been number one is sales in Waterwood for the last 8 years and double the sales of all other agency's area sales combined.

My experience in many different fields has increased my communication skills, which is crucial when working with people in property transactions, both sides.  As a certified Interpreter for the Deaf I am trained to listen, pay attention and look for more than what shows on the surface.  You could say I am a "pro" at reading body language.  I also have 9 years of experience working in corrections, mostly in the Substance Abuse Counseling field so I feel it is very important to constantly check yourself and never stop growing and improving.  

As a fairly new agent, I have a lot to learn but consider myself very fortunate to be working with the most  no nonsense ,knowledgeable, ethical brokers in the business.
