Michael is a true original Floridian. His lineage in Key West dates back to the 1800's, before there were any roads or Henry Flagler's Overseas Railway. His Great Grand Father was the Sheriff of Monroe County during a time of piracy and treasure hunting. Michael was born and raised in Key West, like his father and his ancestors were. In the mid 1980's, Michael's parents escaped the island and moved to Dade City, FL where he attended Pasco County High School. After graduating from high school, he followed in his family's foot steps and joined the United States Marine Corps, serving during Desert Storm, Desert Shield and various other campaigns overseas. Once Honorably Discharged, he quickly found his way in the civilian sector and rapidly moved up the ranks of major industrial distribution companies in the South Carolina and North Carolina areas. After many years of being together, Michael and his then wife brought into this world a beautiful baby girl. Three years later, they welcomed their second child, a son. Now with a growing family, Michael's corporate focus changed and he was about to make a major life decision, moving his family back to Florida. The determining factor, you ask? It was Michael's dedication to his children and a burning desire to give his children the best education possible, surround them with opportunities he knew would pay off for them in the long run, and to live in an area he felt was "home". So they packed up their house in November of 2007 and moved to Stuart FL where he can still be found today.
