Executive Biography

Michael Barry began his real estate and mortgage career in 1994 after attending Texas A&M University.  As a Realtor he used his license to ‘buy and flip’ houses, creating Owner Financed First and Second lien mortgages that he later brokered to other investors. His passion for lending led him on the path of mortgage origination and servicing.

Throughout his career, Michael has been a Sub-Prime and Distressed Asset Specialist. He started by opening a mortgage branch that specialized in interim financing and FHA loans for mobile homes.  He moved on to develop teams of Sub Prime and FHA originators and processors for local mortgage companies.  During this time, Michael co-hosted a call in mortgage show on a local ABC affiliate radio station.  He on air presence led to a position with Wells Fargo that had him opening mortgage branches and overseeing both sales and operations. After his time with Wells Fargo, Michael moved to Bear Stearns Residential Mortgage where he oversaw a team responsible for retention of their wholly owned mortgage portfolio.  He was instrumental in helping Bear Stearns obtain their FHA Double Eagle certification.  Michael continued with this platform through the transition from Bear Stearns to Hudson Advisors’ mortgage division, Caliber Home Loans.

In 2009 Michael became a subsidiary President at Halo Companies, Inc. and was instrumental with the development of the Loan Modification, Credit Solutions, Portfolio Advisors, and Asset Management divisions. While at Halo, he played a pivotal part in the development of Halo AMX mortgage software, distressed asset due diligence and management of client’s portfolios.

Michael joined ClearSpring Loan Services, Inc. in 2014.  As VP of Operations, he oversees the Default Division consisting of Collections, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, and Loss Mitigation services. Michael has revamped these departments to focus on superior customer service, and improved operational efficiency. He has a passion for developing great talent and supporting those who desire a career in the real estate industry.

Today, Michael resides in Prosper, TX with his wife, Missy, and their two sons, Andrew and Alex. In his spare time, Michael enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.
