I have personal experience buying a home!  So what, you say - shouldn't a Realtor have this type of experience?  Yes, but my experiences are those like my CLIENTS have.

The scared and yet excited feeling of making the leap to buy your first home as a single person.  Selling that first home and moving out of state, and finding another home in a large, metropolitan area.  Selling that home and getting married and buying OUR first home, again in another city.  Moving across country to a place where we knew no one in town, let alone in the entire state! Having the opportunity to move to my home town after being gone for 22+ years.  And now, moving again, across country with 3 yr old twins and my husband.

Through this, I have had the chance to deal with Realtors as a client, not just a co-worker.  There is a difference, and as such, I have taken all the great ways in which we were helped and included them in my approach to helping my clients - both buyers and sellers!

My real estate business grows because of how I serve my clients!

Certifications

When I first started Real Estate, my first deal was with a well-known, long time Real Estate Agent.  My mentor gave me the best advice:  He said "Just because she has been in the business for 20 years doesn't mean she is more experienced.  You can be an agent who does the same thing each year for 20 years.  Or, you can be an agent who learns and increases her knowledge and expertise, and in 5 years, you'll have more experience than she has now."

These achievements are an indication of my commitment to continuous improvement and knowledge, which benefits my clients.

CRS - Certified Residential Specialist.  To earn the CRS designation, every Realtor must have significant experience and demonstrate volume of real estate transactions or gross sales, as well as complete rigorous educational requirements.  Less than 4% of all licensed Realtors are Certified Residential Specialists.

ABR - Accredited Buyer Representative.  The ABR designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation.  This coveted designation is awarded to real estate agents by the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council and the National Association of Realtors.

GRI - Graduate, Realtor Institute.  The GRI symbol is the mark of a real estate professional who has made a commitment to providing a superior level of prefessional services by earning this designation.  Realtor's with the GRI designation are highly trained in many years of real estate to better serve and protect their clients.

In addition to residential sales (re-sale and new construction) my expertise and experience include the sale of foreclosures.  Having been a Realtor in Colorado, which has a high percentage of foreclosures, I did over 79 foreclosure transactions from 2003-2007.

When you are buying or selling your home, you need a friend to support you through the journey. I understand this and have built my career on this very concept. My business grows as a result!
