LAURA JAFFE   At the office: Laura’s the Motivator who puts a Smile on everyone’s face. On a personal note: "I have a Keen eye for detail and fashion fun." Laura is often referred to as the "Brain Box" . With a BA in Psychology, she waltzed out of college with a degree in one hand, a Phi Beta Kappa key in the other, and an extreme enthusiasm to hit the ground running! A career in her family’s Washington, DC area jewelry business was her first stop before opening her own clothing and accessories store. Retailing gave Laura insight and background in dealing with people, negotiations, and customer satisfaction. But the four walls of a store confined her, and finding a career that opened doors led to a very obvious choice–Real Estate. Licensed as an Associate Broker in Maryland and working with Long and Foster and then RE/MAX Realty Group, each year Laura achieved outstanding results, which were noted by the company she was with. She earned the CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation. Less than 4% of the agents nationally have this, and she earned the GRI (Graduate, Realtors Institute) Degree in 2000. This is awarded to less than 10% of Realtors nationwide. Additionally, she has earned the designation of Certified Buyer Representative and is e-PRO Certified by the National Association of Realtors, indicating an achievement in using the Internet for real estate transactions. This year, to keep up with the market, Laura earned the designation Certified Distressed Property Expert®. Laura has also served as the Treasurer of the Women's Council of Realtors for the Greater Capital Area and sat on the Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors Grievance Committee for 2 years, and is now a member of the Women's Council of Realtors of the Greater Palm Beaches. Laura currently sits on the Compliance Committee of the Realtors Association of the Palm Beaches. Always attending seminars and classes, Laura stays abreast of what’s happening in the industry. "I really enjoy these opportunities not only to learn, but to network with the rest of the Real Estate Community in a very meaningful way." A former attendee at the national Star Power Conference, Laura has connected with REALTORS® throughout the country and Canada, providing a huge network of competent agents to refer to in other areas. Laura’s enthusiasm, extreme energy, resourcefulness and positive outlook dominate all phases of her life. Her mind is always working, whether it’s during quiet time with her husband of 39 years, Stan, shopping to decorate their Wellington home, reading a good book, or whizzing through a crossword or sudoku puzzle.
