Although I work out of Gardner, I have lived in the Kansas City area for over 30 years moving back and forth over the Kansas and Missouri line. Since I'm familiar with neighborhoods and areas in both states, I keep my license active in both as well.
I own the rights to a couple of house-hunting websites so I find I meet a lot of out-of-state buyers. Moving new people to the area has become a specialized field for me. But I also enjoy working with friends and past clients who have decided it's time to move up or move down right here in our area. Either way you look at it...that's a relocation too!
I also work with a lot of first-time buyers which is something I love. There is nothing better than helping people move into their very first home. The pride of home ownership and the freedom of owning your own space are wonderful things and I never tire of watching it become a reality for someone. It does require providing a lot more information and a lot of hand-holding which just means most of my first-time "clients" end up becoming long-time "friends".
