A Great Time To Buy

The time for buying a home has never been better in Arizona. Prices have come down to decade low levels and mortgage rates are the lowest in the last 50 years. Together this presents tremendous value to the buyer. For sellers it is extremely important to pick an agent that is a Short Sale Specialist and has training in this new marketplace. Last year I was certified as a Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) as well as a Certified Short Sale Negotiator (CSSN). This year I addedd REO Certiciation for foreclosure property. This extra education has given me an added advantage as a Short Sale Specialist. I have over 25 years sales experience with over 9 of those years in Real Estate. This strong sales background has given me a different perspective on the Real Estate transaction and I have been able to use this very effectively for the benefit of my clients.

I grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in business. This Midwestern upbringing has instilled in me the values of honesty, fairness as well as a strong work ethic. All of these attributes have served me well in dealing with people.

NEW TECHNOLOGY HAS CHANGED THE WAY REAL ESTATE AGENTS WORK WITH THEIR CLIENTS.

Like many other industries the Real Estate industry has undergone a tremendous change in the tools that buyers and sellers and Real Estate agents use during the course of a transaction. Obviously the Internet has been a big part of this change. Almost all agents used to advertise their properties for sale in the newspaper. Now an overwhelming majority use the Internet only and skip the papers all together. There is a slice of this new technology that almost all Realtors use to get their listings on the Internet. Then there is another higher slice of the new technology that a relatively few agents use that takes exposure on the Internet to a newer and higher level. One part of this higher level is Active Rain. Less than 5% of all agents nationwide are members of Active Rain and maybe just half of all those members continuously use Active Rain to promote their properties that their customers have for sale. My participation in Active Rain strengthens my commitment to be a leader in the use of this new and evolving technology used in Real Estate. It has been said that "you either adapt, or die". Now in Real Estate it is "embrace Google or die". We, as agents, must not only embrace the new technology but also be able to show our clients how it will benefit them. It is also important to continue to learn and change. Everyday presents a new challenge. That is why it is such a great time to be a Real Estate agent.
