Hi Everyone!
I grew up, live, and work in the Thurston County Area of Washington State, which is probably one of the best kept secrets in the country (though I had to leave to figure it out!). I started as a Realtor in February of 2007, and prior to that I worked as a loan originator with a couple large banks. Prior to that I taught elementary school in the Alaskan buh (Pitka's Point- Google Earth it but look veeeeerrry close, cuz boy, was that ever a small place!), and on Capital Hill in Seattle before coming back home.
My goal with signing up here is to improve myself as an agent to better serve my clients. I heard of this site through my GRI coursework (I am a GRI as of February 08!) and I thought I'd see what I could bring to the table, and glean from the experts. So thanks for being there and we'll talk soon I hope!
My focus is on residential properties, with a little vacant land thrown in as well (As land becomes more scarce, this is truly becoming a niche market in the NW). I have my GRI completed as of February '08, and from there, I am looking at focusing on Green Building. I will let you know how that goes.
As this is a Real Estate site, one question I have for agents is this: How does one effectively market Honesty and Character? This is a tough one, as any time someone says they are honest you wonder why they mention it, and in this media-savvy world, we all know not to take people at their word. So when one has 2-5 seconds to make an impression, what have people effectively done to get this across?
I am a full-time residential agent working in the Thurston County (WA) Area. I have a background in lending and was previously an elementary school teacher in Alaska and Washington.
