Testimonial for Joe Kendall “Our dream home was not listed anywhere but Broker Joe found it.” Trying to find a new home in a short period of time in a relatively unfamiliar area is a daunting task. However, Joe Kendall with Keller Williams Realty of Fort Myers and the Islands really made the process as easy as we could have hoped for. When my wife and I determined that Estero and Fort Myers, Florida would be the center of our search for our dream retirement home, we of course engaged in months of online research to identify neighborhoods, builders, and specific homes we might be interested in. However, we knew we would need local knowledge to help us cut our own research down to size and focus our search during our 9-day house hunting trip. Fortunately, the selling agent for our Plano, Texas home referred us to “Broker Joe.” Broker Joe did something that often seems to be all-to-rare in customer service – he actually listened. He listened to why we wanted to move to the area, the lifestyle we were looking for, the type of neighborhood we were looking for, our view of the “ideal” floor plan, and he looked at examples from our own research that we thought would meet our needs. We worked together via email and his own web site for several weeks prior to our arrival and created a wish list of neighborhoods and homes that we wanted to focus on during our visit. This avoided wasted time looking at homes that we would have had no interest in. More importantly, Joe had such a good idea of what we were looking for that he was able to make contacts with local builders to determine the status of any inventory homes for floor plans we liked. Joe located a model home in a neighborhood that was about to close out that he thought should be added to our list of candidates. He knew that we weren’t going to bring much furniture from Texas and thought that a professionally decorated fully furnished model might fit the bill. He was right! This was not one of the first homes we looked at (those were ones that my wife and I had identified) although it was on the first day. When we walked into the model home, however, we simply fell in love and knew we were home. The bottom line: Our dream home was not listed anywhere but Broker Joe found it. Talk about “added value”. He was also a great sounding board as we considered our offer and guided us through the closing process. We are now the proud owners of a beautiful home in the Gateway area of Fort Myers and couldn’t be happier. And, just to make our transition that much easier, Joe has been and continues to be a great source of information for everything there is to do and eat from Fort Myers to Naples (quite a lot, in fact).
