Get to Know John Krochman
My name is John Krochman and I am the Branch Manager here at the Katella location for Broadview Mortgage. I was Born and raised here in Orange County. I started in business young, as a brain-of-mush entrepreneur, and settled into the mortgage banking industry in 1999. I am the last of six children and have five of my own; all boys ages 14, 12, 10, 5, and 3. We are active members of Salem Lutheran Church where our boys attend K-8.th Our oldest is now at Orange Lutheran High. My wife, Brooke, has an honorable degree and full time career in homemaking.
The branch has enjoyed our central location in the heart of Orange County since 2004. We are located in the Tuskatella Shopping Center at the intersections of Katella & Tustin Ave. Although we are community based, boutique style lender, we enjoy relationships with borrowers throughout the State of California, specializing in California Teacher and State Employee programs. Broadview Mortgage Corporation has been in business since 1988; Celebrating 25 Years! I pride myself in keeping an open door and welcome calls from prospective home buyers, consumers, Realtors®, and business partners alike. While the industry is nearly unrecognizable in the aftermath of the Credit Crisis, we are still right here with the same values and knock your socks off service. We consider ourselves to have been blessed to be a part of the solution to the housing crisis. On the personal front, I have spent the last 6 years volunteering time in loss mitigation as a consumer advocate. I am aligned with several law firms and will assist in matters as a registered legal document assistant when needed. While I cannot offer, and do not offer, legal advice; I am able to point folks in need to the professionals who can.

There are a large number of mortgage companies out there. I’m a teacher. As a teacher, I’m entitled to some awesome benefits – including mortgage on a house. CalSTRS offers a 80/17 mortgage (which is coming to an end 9/30/11) and Broadview was very helpful in helping my wife and I get into our first house using the CalSTRS 80/17. Friendly people who are also professional and genuinely cares about their clients – I think THAT is what I would look for in a company rather than a company focused on numbers only. Our representative, MARIO BASURA, was amazing. In fact, all financial institutions should be more like Broadview and Mario – in the regards that they should care more about their clients more than, if not equally, about their numbers (see my review on the SchoolsFirst FCU). Are you a teacher? Work in a public school? CalSTRS can offer some amazing options in mortgage loans and Broadview Mortgage is very knowledgeable in them. Five 5 Stars ~ June Y. Thank you so much! Most people in the business don’t want to give you any information or help unless you are ready to buy or work with them. This is helping me so much. I am working on raising my credit score and waiting for my tax return so that I can use that as part of my down payment. It’s nice to know that there is another option to help with down payment. He immediately responded and put us in contact with John Krochman. John had nothing to gain by helping us. He gave us the name of an attorney that was experienced with our situation. I am happy to announce that because of John we were able to get a temporary injunction and save the sale of our home. This has given us a fighting chance.
