Many of the home owners I have helped over the last few years are First Time Home Buyers of all ages. FHA is the most common type of loan in the Phoenix area currently. With home values becoming so reasonable and interest rates at all time lows, it just does not make a lot of sense for many people to rent when they can buy. For many buyers, their mortgage payment is about the same as the rent they were paying. And of course, don't forget about the benefit of the tax deduction. First Time Home Buyers are usually fun to work with as they are very excited to buy their first home. They really appreciate working with a loan officer who has the ability and patience to slow down and simplify the process for them!
Working and living in Scottsdale, I have helped many people buy homes in the luxury market as well. These home buyers are great to work with as they are more educated with the home buying process and typically more sophisticated. Most loans for these buyers are jumbo loans and require additional skills and a different knowledge base.
