Get to know Jim Welk
For over 30 years I have been involved in buying and selling personal and investment properties. During this period of time I have developed a check list of priorities as they relate to both buyers and sellers. Also, through observation and practice, I have a better understanding of the kind of successful interactions it takes to be a great negotiator and in many cases, know that it takes "thinking outside the box" to make a deal happen. Up until 2005, I had been working intensively in a customer service job for a major corporation. I had the opportunity a few years ago to make a change and I did. It has been a great opportunity to be able to be involved in this profession. I wake up every morning knowing that I have the opportunity today, to assist someone in making a change.
Whether showing a property and providing constructive feedback to the seller's agent or going on a listing appointment, my approach is based on being courteous, knowledgable, factual, attentive to the smallest detail, and being honest. My goal as a buyer's agent is to get the best deal I can and to follow up at every opportunity. I want my current buyer to come back to me when it's time to sell, and to refer me to family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers. For current sellers, I will let you know my perception of your property (my first impression of the property) as well as comment on its appearance with specifics; I will make constructive critism and complement a seller on all of those features that appear to be attributes. It is the experience of walking into a home that sets the tone for that next step, - my goal of selling your property.
