I have been a REALTOR for the past 10 years in the Metro Atlanta area. I pride myself on being knowledgeable about the Atlanta housing market and that is an asset to my clients. In addition to being a REALTOR, I am an Accredited Buyers Representative and the recipient of the Outstanding Homeownership Achievement Award for REALTORS in GA. When a buyer or seller works with me, I want them to feel like they have hired a person who is going to help them succeed with their goal of purchasing or selling a home. I realize the most important things I have to offer to my clients are my knowledge, integrity and outstanding customer service every time.
My specific area of expertise is my ability to work with a variety of people in a variety of situations. However, over the majority of my career, I've worked primarily with first time homebuyers and sellers. Working with first time homebuyers is special because the client is going down a new path and is need of assistance, knowledge and guidance. Being that voice of information reason and sometimes compromise, for them, is very important to me.
Since I do work with so many buyers who are purchasing for the first time, I've also become quite adept in the in's and out's of FHA loans and down payment assistance programs. A lot of new buyers are not aware of programs that are available to them for purchasing their first home. For example, in some cities, there are programs that encourage homeownership for teachers, police officers, nurses, etc. to live and work in the area that they service. These programs can offer significant sums of downpayment assistance to encourage those individuals to purchase. Having this information to provide to buyers is priceless.
The great thing too is, I get to work with my first time homebuyers who then become my first time sellers and eventually my move up buyers.
