In 1969, Mr. Garrett Feis graduated from Setauket High School in New York where his casework emphasis was in business administration and Architectural Drafting. 

From 1970 to 1973 he attended Elgin community College and College of DuPage in the Chicago area where he majored in Architectural Engineering and Construction Management. 

In 1972, Mr. Feis started his first company, Garrett Construction Company, where he performed residential remodeling and property rehabilitation as a licensed General Contractor in the state of Illinois. 

 In 1976, his second company, Garrett Inspection Service, Inc., was started which engaged in FHA Certifications inspections for termites, roofing, heating, plumbing, electrical, foundation, structural, new construction, pre-purchase and construction management services. 

 In 1993 the two companies were restructured into Garrett Feis & Associates, Inc. with the new company providing all the inspection products of Garrett Inspection Services but, the general contracting business was phased out due to the retirement of one of the principals.

As the owner of Garrett Feis & Associates, Mr. Feis built the oldest and largest building inspection company in the Midwest.  He is a home inspector with over 32 years of residential and commercial building inspection experience and was a full certified ASHI member.  Mr. Feis has been trained and educated as a residential appraiser and has experience as a general contractor in residential Rehab and new home construction.  He is also a FHA Fee Panel Inspector and Consultant/Plan Reviewer approved by the St. Louis, Kansas City, Chicago and Atlanta FHA Field Offices to provide 203(k) Consultant services.

 Since 1993, Mr. Feis has been very instrumental in redesigning the 203(k) program with HUD in Washington.  He is known as a national 203(k) expert in providing 203(k) training to national lenders.  He has spear headed the development and training of the 203(k) loan program as it relates to its practical use in the private sector with inspectors, Consultants, investors, lenders, contractors and real estate sales agents.

 Since October of 1996, when H.U.D. published the moratorium on 203K investor loans, Mr. Feis has been instrumental in designing many other rehabilitation loan products.  His visions and recognition for the need to revitalize Americas existing housing stock has been the catalyst for the development of conventional non conforming rehabilitation loans.  As well as development and implementation of investor single and multi- family loan products.

 Upon relocation to Atlanta in 2001, Mr. Feis has opened another company, Garrett Feis Remodeling LLC, solely dedicated to residential repairs and remodeling.  This new endeavor has allowed Mr. Feis to assemble a team of professional remodelers under one umbrella.  This new company has the capabilities of performing complete construction services with in- house staff. 

 Since 2005, Mr. Feis has transferred his FHA 203K Consultant approval from Chicago to the Atlanta Regional Office.  He is now again performing 203K Consultant services for some of the top 203K lenders in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee. 

 Mr. Feis's Past and Present Associations Include:
