I retired from Luke AFB on January 1, 2006 after 25 years in the F-16 maintenance world. I did see prt of the world as I was stationed overseas for 8.5 years in S Korea and Italy. I also got to go to the Phillipines, Australia, Japan, Turkey, Germany, Croatia, Austria, and several other countries.
I wanted to do something completely different and since I've been interested in real state for awhile, I made the decision to become a Realtor and I have enjoyed helping people ever since.
I still support the USAF through the Luke chapter of the Air Force Association (AFA). I also find freeway development issues to be interesting and follow how we are making Phoenix freeways better through a voter approved county-wide 1/2 cent sales tax that generates about $300 Million per year to expand our freeway system in Maricopa County.
I'm focused on the Southwest Valley cities of Avondale, Buckeye, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Tonopah, and Waddell. I enjoy working with first time homebuyers and showing them the ropes of the buying process. I especially enjoy it when they can understand what their options are in how and where they buy a home.
I'm also focusing on how we can do things better with homes following many "Green Home" and LEED concepts. There are many things we can do today while searching for a home that can help clients pick a house that will be more useable to them and easier on the utiliies by paying attention to the small details of house orientation, tree plantings, AC location, etc that should provide an immediate payback increased comfort. Other ideas I'm looking for need to pay for themselves in 3-5 years vs the 20+ that seem to get all of the attention.
