I was born in Malheur County Oregon in 1950 and have spent most of my life here in the Treasure Valley. I grew up on the farm and spent my early years working in Ag related fields during and after College. In 1973, I married Ann Monson the love of my life. We had attended school together but I never had the courage to "court" her until later. At the present time, we have four wonderful, married children, seven eight eleven grand children. They are a great joy and blessing to Annie and I. (the grandkids just keep coming)
I have always had a passion for real estate and after nearly 19 years in the wholesale/retail auto parts business, I began a self study in the field of Real Estate Sales. 1n 1995, I challenged the Oregon Real Estate Exam and passed. I began my Real Estate career in 1996 and sold my business in 1997. I am now licensed in both Oregon and Idaho and though I still live in Oregon, my office is located across the Snake River in Fruitland Idaho. I am a Graduate of the Realtors Institute (GRI) and am currently an Associate Broker in Idaho and the Principal Broker for our Oregon Office.
I am involved with Farm and Ranch Sales as well as the Residential market in my work and am enjoying both challenges. I always thought that my business background would propel me into Commercial Real Estate but the niche is small in our area and I love what I am doing now. I love new challenges and this year, I have taken on the responsibility of our Oregon office.
I have gained a wealth of knowledge about our County Planning and Zoning process and coupled with my rural background, I have become quite adept at the application process for rural home sites in nonconforming use zones. I enjoy helping people through a process that can be tedious and difficult. It has given me the great reward of accomplishment and a few great listings of rare rural building sites in our area.
