Get to Know Dolly O'Brien

In 1992, I was working for J.C. Penney Co. as a Decorator Consultant when the New Homes Manager for Hubbell Real Estate Co. asked me to decorate a Parade Home for the builder. During the 4-5 months that it took to get everything ready, the New Homes Manager recruited me to join the Hubbell Real Estate Co team. I've been with them ever since. I received my Associate Broker’s license in 2006. I have worked in subdivisions as part of a team and have managed several subdivisions that Hubbell Real Estate Co represented and marketed.

I bring a varied experience to my real estate career. I have worked for a construction company, helped in designing remodeling projects. I have actual hands on experience in construction. My husband and I have built two homes and remodeled four homes that we purchased.

My 4+ years, as a Decorator Consultant, help me in diagnosing problem areas in homes. I have taken additional courses in Home Staging. I am a Certified Home Marketing Specialist.

But my true passion is working with First Time Home Buyers. You’re really making someone’s dream come true.

I have lived most of my life in a rural setting, either living in the country or living in a small town (600+ people) in Shiawassee County.

Certifications

I concentrate on Residential Real Estate, working in the Ingham County communities of Haslett, Okemos, East Lansing, Mason and Lansing; the Clinton County communities of Bath, DeWitt, Ovid/Elsie, and St Johns; the Livingston County communities of Cohoctah and Fowlerville and the Shiawassee County communities of Laingsburg, Shaftsburg, Perry, Morrice, Durand, Vernon and Bancroft.

I grew up in Flint and then Byron. I’ve lived in Shiawassee County for my adult life. It’s a rural, more laid back environment. I have worked in the Greater Lansing Area since 1992. It’s a diverse population with 4 colleges (Michigan State University, Lansing Community College, Cooley Law School, and Davenport College), the State Government, and 2 new General Motors plants. There’s always something happening.
