About Dave and His Family
Originally from the Chicago area, my family moved to the Washington DC Metro region in 1967, where both my parents taught for the Fairfax County Public Schools. After growing up in Northern Virginia and graduating from George Mason University, I moved to Montgomery County, Maryland in 1987. After first living in Kensington, I bought my first home in Gaithersburg in 1989. In 1998, we bought a new home in Germantown where I currently live with my wife Jean and daughter Jenna (see photo). Both my wife and I love our area and our neighbors and are active and committed volunteers in the community.
In addition to my wife and daughter, we also have developed a cadre of animals. We have 2 dogs, a Cairn Terrier and a German Shepard as well as 7 (Yes, seven) Guinea Pigs. In fact we had 10 at one point!
After many years in the computer industry, I decided it was time to work for myself. I always had an interest in real estate, so I started selling residential real estate full time, immediately after leaving the IT industry, in the summer of 2002. In total I have over 20 years experience in sales & marketing, client management, contract negotiation, and project management.
What I like most about my job is meeting people, learning about their lifestyles and needs so I can match them with the best neighborhoods and homes. Being a natural problem solver and task manager, allows me to stay on top of all the tasks that need to be managed throughout the home sale process. When you are buying or selling a home no one wants surprises, so I try to communicate
continually with my clients so they know where everything stands and what to expect as the transaction progresses to settlement.

|I contacted Dave to get me into a house in Darnestown. He organized listing and selling the home I owned 5 miles from the house I wanted to buy. He researched the comparables and presented to them with a recommended price. We took some time to look at the comparables and he helped us to hire a contractor to spruce up the house. The house sold at the second open house after a minor price adjustment. Around the same period we researched the house I wanted to buy. He took my wife and I on multiple house visits to make sure that the price on the new house seemed right. We found one that we almost bought, but didn't.
