Hmmm, the first thing you should know about me is that I hate talking about myself...but here goes. I've been married to my wife, Kari, for 22 years and we have 3 kids, Alexia, Gianni and Gabriella. Ages are 20, 15 and 13 respectively. I love coaching my son's youth football team. When I say "love" I don't mean really enjoy, I literally mean that I stay up late at night writing scouting reports, drawing up gameplans, etc. love, love, love coaching his football team. That love of football has stayed with me since I played college ball for the Arkansas Razorbacks and while I was only a walk-on I absolutely loved the experience. I would be remiss not to talk a little about my job because a big part of who I am is what I do at work everyday.
If I had to sum up the way I operate it's one word, Honesty. It's not a cliche with me. As a small business owner I am in the business of making and keeping customers for life. When it comes to working with Realtors I operate with 100% honesty and openness in all transactions. You will never have to wonder whose side I'm on. I feel that it is my role to navigate the loan underwriting process on behalf of my clients and Realtors. I know and understand loan guidelines and this helps me to better understand what documentation is appropriate on the front end, before a closing gets delayed. My clients and Realtors enjoy on time closings, free pre-approvals and a loan officer that takes the time if necessary to hold a hand through the loan process. I don't use an automated phone system because I believe in a personal touch so when you call myself or one of my great staff members will promptly take your call. I specialize in residential mortgages only. Commercial transactions can take up too much time and I know my core business is residential real estate customers. I take the time to study and understand the mortgage industry, what drives mortgage rates, home sales trends, etc. so that my clients who may not be knowledgable about real estate can have the best opportunity to make an educated decision. Just like a Quarterback needs to spend time in the film room a professional loan officer needs to spend time reading AND understanding guidelines. I take the time to keep up to date on FHA, VA and USDA guidelines as well as the constantly evolving conventional guidelines.
