Dan Gooder Richard is one of the real estate industry's leading authorities in marketing and lead management. He is founder and president of GOODER GROUP®, a publisher of real estate marketing materials since 1983 based in Fairfax, Virginia. GOODER GROUP publishes seven monthly real estate newsletters and a wide selection of marketing tools, including brochures, handbooks, website links, postcards, print ad templates, a sales letter library, and more including online and offiline products in the Rainmaker Lead System.
Dan has published articles in Real Estate Today (now REALTOR), Real Estate Business, and Relocation Quarterly. As a seminar leader and keynote speaker at sales rallies and conventions, he has spoken in front of numerous brokerage companies and groups, such as National Association of Realtors, Real Trends Leadership Conference, Realty Alliance, RELO, Reliance Relocation Services, ERA, SuperSession and Genesis. Dan is known for his nuts-and-bolts presentations of successful marketing techniques that agents, brokers and loan officers can use to make the phone ring immediately.
Before founding GOODER GROUP in 1983, Dan was marketing director for Long & Foster Real Estate in the Washington/Baltimore area for five years. During his years with Long & Foster, the company grew from 900 agents to 2,400 agents, from 30 offices to 59 offices, and from $859 million in sales to $2.4 billion.
With more than 25 years of experience in marketing and lead management, Dan's background includes a master's degree in magazine journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and positions with Los Angeles and Washingtonian magazines. He is also a freelance travel writer.
