As a real estate agent, why choose Coleman & Associates, PLC as your preferred Settlement Agent? The answer is easy; 1) Service, 2) Flexibility and 3) Affordability. If you are currently using a title company or law firm as your Settlement Agent, two things may be readily apparent to you. By using a title company, your client does not have the benefit of having an attorney to assist during those difficult transactions. A title company cannot advise you or the client as to the legal consequences of any document, draft legal documents, resolve survey or title issues, or draft escrow agreements. And, if you are currently using a law firm as your Settlement Agent, you may know that getting an attorney on the phone to timely answer your questions may be difficult. At Coleman & Associates we promise Service foremost. Our business plan is to keep our practice small so that each agent and client will have personal contact with an attorney prior to getting to the closing table. Our goal is to have an attorney involved in every aspect of the closing process. We understand that this industry is dynamic and that your schedules almost never conform to the normal 9-5 business hours. Our dedication to Service includes having an attorney available after hours and on weekends to answer your questions.

How many attorneys do you know will give their personal cell phone numbers to agents and then welcome their calls? At Coleman & Associates, PLC we offer Flexibility of scheduling. Have you ever had a lender guarantee that the closing package would be delivered to your Settlement Agent by 5:00 p.m. only to have your Settlement Agent reschedule for the next day because closing time is 5:30 p.m.? Meanwhile, your client has to take a second day off of work in order to sign the paperwork. At Coleman & Associates, PLC we know that circumstances are often unpredictable. We also know that a large number of clients buying and selling homes in Hampton Roads are military members. We are sensitive to the fact that a client may not always be available to close during working ours. At Coleman & Associates, we will not turn you away. In keeping with our promise to deliver the highest professional Service, we are availabe for after-hours and weekend closings upon request. In special circumstances, depending on availability, we will even come to you.

Finally, Coleman & Associates, PLC stresses Affordability. We understand that not every client will feel that they have enough money at closing to choose to close at an attorney's office. Have you been in a situations where you would like to close with a law firm but find yourself sometimes choosing a title company in order to save your client a little bit of money in closing costs? Do you have clients that are under the misapprehension that it is cheaper to close with a title company? Whether you are thinking about a title company or a law firm, our rates are competitive across the board. We understand that you will sometimes have a client that may be struggling to come up with enough cash to bring to closing. We believe that every home buyer and seller deserves the ability to have legal representation during the closing process. Although we do have standard rates, we will work with you and the client on a case-by-case basis to ensure that anyone who chooses can always afford to close with an attorney.
