So you've got a contract on a sweet house. Who should you trust? Your Realtor has an interest in getting the house closed. Some may be able to avoid the temptaion to recommend a ringer( AKA "realtor's pet "or "NACHI inspector"). Do you use the inspector that looks like Boulder? Does he have Crocs on his feet and a picture of him in the mountains? I suggest you check his credentials. Does he belong to a fake home inspector organization? How long has he been inspectng. Does he use a crummy form style report because he can't write? Can you trust him? He will be the most important person in the transaction. He is the one that will insure that you and your loved ones will live in a house that is safe, heathy and won't make you go broke. He might be a great guy to have a margerita with, but will he find the hidden demons in the attic or the furnace? Does he see the things that you can't see, but will find out about 6 months after you move in?

I think most home buyers in Boulder are used to getting burned. They just expect that, in Boulder, it's going to cost a lot. Then It is going to cost a lot moe to fix all of the messes. Hiring contractors in Boulder can sometime be a big ripoff. Wouldn't you rather avoid that and find out what is going on in the house from the get go. That is what I do.

I inspect the house thouroghly, (with work boots on). I take digital notes and pictures. I write up a great, easy to underatand report and print it out on site. I e-mail the report out on site. I take the time to show you all the important parts of your house. I discuss the report findings with you and show you the defects. I answer all your questions for as long as you own th home.

I'm on your side. I give it to you straight. The only person that I cater too is you.

PS. I actually live in the mountains and do my part every day to encourage home buyers to buy exhisting homes and make them more energy efficient.
