Colleen has devoted most of her professional life to the real estate industry. She started as the Associate Director of Communications for the Seattle-King County Association of REALTORS and was a real estate salesperson. Along the way, there was time spent as a reporter, as an advertising rep with For Rent Magazine, and as the Volunteer Manager for PAWS (Progressive Animal Welfare Society). She was also a board member with the Interfaith Hospitality Network, a non-profit organization whose mission was providing emergency housing via a network of local churches.
Colleen's goal is to help real estate agents blend their on-line prospecting with the more traditional activities that proved so successful in the past, such as doorknocking and open houses. "It's a matter localizing our efforts while expanding our spheres," she says. "Our first contact may be digital and impersonal, but showing a home is personal and intimate. Maintaining a balance between the two will not only increase our success, but will enhance our clients' experience. We're still working with a sphere of influence, but on the scale of a hemisphere of influence!"
