I love my job as a Realtor and hope to continue to help Buyers achieve their dream of home ownership, investment property & vacation homes for many years to come, as well as assisting my Sellers in achieving their needs & dreams. But following the downturn in the Real Estate market in our area as a result of Hurricane Katrina, my family faced the loss of our dream home, my husband's company and all the "things" we had collected over the years. After searching for help/assistance and unable to find anyone or anything - I was determined to create a website to help others facing a similar crisis. My husband and I have discovered that the "things" we owned did not mean nearly as much to us as we thought - but the loss of our home was a traumatic occurrence. After over a year's research to find as much assistance information as possible, I launched the website on Jan. 1, 2009. Our goals are to provide Information, Inspiration, Help and Hope to those in need. Our next goal is to take our website non-profit, apply for grants and provide assistance in mediation for homeowners in danger of foreclosure.
Please pass on the Assistance information on the Need Help Page of our website, along with the updated information on the Home Page news ticker. If you are a Realtor/Real Estate Agent interested in providing similar Assistance information for your county, please contact me. We can work together to make a difference! Check our website out @ http://www.RealEstateAgentsArePeople2.com (also known as HomeownersCrisis.com).
