Get to Know Christopher Vincent

Skiing, Paddling, Hiking, Biking and Camping...Christopher Vincent has been playing in the Canadian Rockies all his life.

Growing up in Calgary, Chris always had a deep respect and love for the mountains at his doorstep. Weekends, summers and the occasional missed day of school, were spent exploring the valleys, peaks and rivers of Banff and Kananaskis.

After high school, Chris attended Bishop's University in Lennoxville, QC. While there, he had the opportunity to explore the mountains of New England and Quebec and soon came to the realization that they could never replace the Rockies. Upon completion of his Bachelor of Arts in 2003, Chris returned to the place where he had had so many exciting adventures. Coming from a family that has been in Alberta over 100 years, there was no doubt about returning to Alberta - but where?

The Bow Valley of course! The four years spent in a small Quebec town with a close community and plenty of outdoor opportunities made him appreciate even more what Banff and Canmore had to offer. Christopher chose to settle in Canmore as it has many of the amenities of a big city and the strong sense of community and genuineness of a small town. As well, he knew that you could get a couple of hours skiing in on a powder day before heading to work or spend the evenings casting in the shadows of the mountains on the Bow River or local lakes.

Living in the Bow Valley has allowed Chris to ‘Live the Rockies Life'. Being surrounded by exciting people who all share a passion for the mountains and the Bow Valley has driven Chris to want to help people call this place home.

"The Bow Valley has so much to offer, helping people choose a home here, whether full or part time is so exciting. People come here to be able to play and live. Allowing them to achieve that dream is very satisfying", says Chris. "It is really about ‘Living the Rockies Life'".

Area Knowledge Benefits You...Christopher's love and knowledge of the area helps him find the best properties for his client's needs. The Bow Valley offers more than just the outdoor pursuits; world class arts and culture, dinning and people are found throughout the area. Chris believes that "Living here is about enjoying all that we have to offer".

The Bow Valley is an exceptional place to call home. If you are interested in our real estate and would like to ‘Live the Rockies Life' please give Chris a call or drop him a line. When you call ask Chris about his seasonal gems; he usually knows where there is snow to be had, good fishing holes, and what is happening in and around town.

The Bow Valley - A River Runs Though It!From it's source high in the Canadian Rockies at Bow Lake and the glaciers above, The Bow River winds along the stupendously beautiful Bow Valley out to the Prairies to the East. The River flows through Lake Louise, Banff and Canmore. Departing the mountains at Seebe it flows on through Cochrane and Calgary to finally join the South Saskatchewan River southeast of Calgary.

CanmoreCanmore has had an evolving history since its founding in 1883. Until 1979, it served as a railway division point and coal mining community. BanffLocated in Banff National Park approximately 22 km west of Canmore, the Town of Banff is well known for its magnificent beauty, world-class accommodations and great shopping. Banff's modern history dates back to the late 1800's, as the transcontinental railway was being cut through the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Some rail workers came across the now world famous Cave and Basin Hot Springs; and as they say, the rest is history.

As the main town site in Canada's first National Park, Banff is a great place to live. The variety of world-class people and attractions make for a dynamic community. Famous attractions include the historic Banff Springs Hotel, the healing waters of the Upper Hot Springs, the Banff Centre for the Arts and the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies. Other Banff National Park attractions include Lake Louise, Sunshine Village, Moraine Lake, and the Icefields Parkway.

In order to limit growth in Banff National Park, the federal government has placed some restrictions on residential and commercial development in both Banff and Lake Louise. Banff does have a need to reside clause and if you would like more information please contact Chris.
