Why Choose John Kavaller?
John Kavaller is well known for his no-nonsense professionalism and dedication to customer service. He is the Owner-Broker of Catskill Country Real Estate and a Realtor®.
While John’s clients often remark that he quickly becomes a friend, friendship is not his goal. His goal is to help his clients achieve their own goals of purchasing or selling New York real estate – with the least possible amount of stress or confusion.
John believes strongly in the value of market research. Because he takes the time to do it correctly, his listings are priced to sell for the highest price in the least amount of time. Such research, along with his extensive area knowledge, also helps his buyers. He saves them time by helping them narrow their choices to homes and areas in the Catskills that actually fit their needs.
Technological skills that allow him to put detailed information and photos of his listings in front of every possible buyer are, of course, a benefit to both.
John’s patience is evident both in the time he takes to listen to his clients’ wants and dreams and his willingness to keep searching for a buyer’s perfect home. He never pushes a client to make a choice, but instead assists them as they weigh the pros and cons of each possibility. In addition to benefits, he’ll point out drawbacks they might otherwise overlook. First time buyers especially appreciate his willingness to explain each and every step of the process, including the how and why.
When it comes to negotiation, John doesn’t believe in a “My way or the highway” approach to business. Instead he’s skilled in showing others the value in legitimate compromise.
Due diligence is a hallmark of John’s service. Once a purchase or sale is under contract, John stays on top of every detail – coordinating service providers and keeping everyone on track to a timely and successful closing. His dogged determination, tenacity, and creative approach to problem solving have often led to closing on transactions others believed were destined to fail. When he sets his sights on turning a client’s goals into reality, he doesn’t give up.
In addition to helping clients buy and sell real estate in the Catskills, John manages residential rentals and handles commercial leasing of income properties.
Before entering the real estate field, John retired from a career as a New York State Corrections Officer. Not surprisingly, he counts many law enforcement officers among his satisfied clients. They do seem drawn to his no-nonsense style of doing business. Among other things, he’s also been a house painter, a handyman, a Job Corps Resident Advisor, and a musician.
John still enjoys music. He plays both bass and rhythm guitar, and sings both lead and harmony. He’s a member of an Old Time Music Band, sometimes being paid and often doing volunteer gigs all over Sullivan County. John also enjoys reading and honing his skills in computer literacy.
When you’re looking for a Sullivan County REALTOR® who will dedicate himself to turning your real estate goals into reality, call on John Kavaller. You’ll soon understand why so many clients say they’d never recommend anyone else.
One Comment from a client: “. . . your hard work, intelligence, tenacity and overall professionalism shined through throughout the entire process. I believe you are a consummate professional whose standard for excellence should be emulated by everyone in your industry.”
