He never pushes a client to make a choice, but instead assists them as they weigh the pros and cons of each possibility. When it comes to negotiation, John doesn’t believe in a “My way or the highway” approach to business. Instead he’s skilled in showing others the value in legitimate compromise.

Due diligence is a hallmark of John’s service. Once a purchase or sale is under contract, John stays on top of every detail – coordinating service providers and keeping everyone on track to a timely and successful closing. His dogged determination, tenacity, and creative approach to problem solving have often led to closing on transactions others believed were destined to fail. When he sets his sights on turning a client’s goals into reality, he doesn’t give up.

In addition to helping clients buy and sell real estate in the Catskills, John manages residential rentals and handles commercial leasing of income properties.

Before entering the real estate field, John retired from a career as a New York State Corrections Officer. Not surprisingly, he counts many law enforcement officers among his satisfied clients. They do seem drawn to his no-nonsense style of doing business. Among other things, he’s also been a house painter, a handyman, a Job Corps Resident Advisor, and a musician.

John still enjoys music. He plays both bass and rhythm guitar, and sings both lead and harmony. He’s a member of an Old Time Music Band, sometimes being paid and often doing volunteer gigs all over Sullivan County. John also enjoys reading and honing his skills in computer literacy.
