After 35 years of being in the medical equipment business, 25 years of that period owning and operating my own medical equipment distributorship; I decided to retire from my home in Florida and relax and enjoy my senior years in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. 

Having been married for 47 years, with 3 sons and 13 grandchildren; I obviously have had a very full and fruitful life, for which I am most grateful.

After 3 years of retirement, the itch returned.

I needed to be productive and utilize the business skills that I had honed over my lifetime, and I needed to put my business principles back to work again.

So, in 2002, I completed the North Carolina Real Estate Commission requirements to become what is known in North Carolina as a Real Estate Broker-in-Charge. This license gave me full brokerage house certification and the ability to open my own brokerage firm as the principal owner and operator.

My firm is located in the western North Carolina mountains and services the Cashiers/ Lake Glenville/ Sapphire Valley area of Jackson County and the Sapphire/ Lake Toxaway areas of Transylvania County.

If the reader is not familiar with this area, you owe it to yourself to research and discover it. It is truly God's country. For a week-end, for a summer vacation destination, or as your permanent home, it is beyond compare.

As for Prestige Mountain Properties, it has been most successful, thanks in large part to the fact that I believe strongly in running my business as if I were always dealing with either my own family or my oldest life-long friend.
